Partially made up of ex-members of British hardcore punk outfit Varukers, it comes as no big surprise that Sick on the Bus spit out fast, furious, and volatile punk rock. With sonic nods to fellow countrymen G.B.H., the enraged bitterness driving the guys of Sick on the Bus does not exactly lend itself to much subtlety. The title track, after all, leads off with "So Jesus is coming to save me, well he can suck my cock/He can drink my message down and gulp the fucking lot." Ballsy, fist-in-the-air, working-class hardcore with touches of thrash amid searing guitar leads, Go to Hell would make the perfect soundtrack to a pit of Mohawked, lagered-up fans gathered at the local pub after a long day of being pissed off at the world outside their close circle of friends. The band does have some lyrical gems ("Well I've got more money than you've got brains/I'm fucking skint and you're insane"), but it's doubtful that anyone's really paying attention aside from joining in on the shout-worthy choruses. The intensity never lets up, so if you can't hack 30 minutes, well, don't even bother showing up.
